Earthsite Launches 2010 California Governor's Debate Website

CA-Gov-Debate_webToday Earthsite officially launched Dominican University of California's new website – www.cagovdebate.com – to provide up-to-date information and engage the community in the October 12 California Governor's Debate at Angelico Hall on Dominican's campus.

The debate between Republican candidate Meg Whitman and Democratic candidate Jerry Brown will be moderated by NBC News' Tom Brokaw and televised live on NBC Bay Area, NBC Los Angeles, NBC San Diego, KCRA in Sacramento and KSBW Salinas/Monterey. The debate broadcast begins at 6:30 p.m..

The website will provide information about obtaining tickets to the debate. In addition, the site is designed to inform and engage the community through the use of social media, including on Twitter at http://www.CAGovDebate.com/Twitter/ and on Facebook at http://www.CAGovDebate.com/Facebook/.

The site also includes a link where people can sign up to participate in a focus group the night of the debate and information for people, led by Dominican alumni, to register to host debate watch parties across the state.
