The Team
Joey Shepp: Principal and Owner, Project Director

Joey is the founder of Earthsite, LLC. After eight years of design, marketing, and consulting for green businesses, Joey founded Earthsite with the vision of creating a global network of sustainability websites. Joey holds a degree in ecological design from University of California Santa Cruz and an MBA in Sustainable Enterprise from the Green MBA program now at Dominican University of CA.

Joey works with clients from the beginning sales stage through the close of the project to ensure the project stays on schedule and within scope. He additionally serves as senior Internet Marketing Director for Earthsite’s keystone clients including, Urth.tv, GreenFestivals.org, and GreenMaven.com, continuing to refine their online marketing strategies and the information architecture as their businesses grow.

Stacie Shepp: Owner, Director of Business Operations

Stacie is the co-founder of Earthsite. She supports the business relationships with Earthsite’s clients. She is also available for content editing and marketing strategy. Stacie holds an MBA in Sustainable Enterprise from the Green MBA program now at Dominican University of CA.

She worked with the Green MBA program for two years, developing and implementing their marketing strategy. She is currently the VP and Policy Chair of Sustainable Fairfax, a local non-profit that runs a Sustainability Center in Fairfax, CA.

 
Andrew Hemming: Lead Developer
andrew_hemming.jpgAndrew's knowledge covers a broad range of ICT related topics from hardware and software installation on servers and desktops to security protocols, web standards compliance and accessibility guidelines.

Andrew is proficient in the following areas: HTML / XHTML, CSS, MySQL - Including programmatic import and update operations, Linux Server Operating Systems, Apache Web Server Configuration, Graphic Design (Photoshop CS2, Fireworks 8, Flash Professional 8), Web Design (Dreamweaver 8, Eclipse, Joomla), Coding Languages (PHP, JavaScript, Perl, MySQL).
 
Lisa Winter: Senior Designer
lisa_winter.jpgLisa has 15+ years experience as a graphic designer. She has thorough knowledge of every aspect of the design process, from concept to delivery. Her talents include design, print/web production, art direction, copywriting, illustration and project management.

Lisa spent 9 years as a senior graphic designer at Natalie Kitamura Design, 3 years as an in-house graphic designer at Working Assets, and 5 years as an in house graphic designer at MacPherson’s Art Supply. She has expert knowledge of Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, QuarkXpress, GoLive, Dreamweaver and a working knowledge of Flash.
 
Alex Scammon: Chief Technologist and Architect
alex-scammon-square-150px.jpgAlex comes to Earthsite with a wide variety of experience ranging from a BA from Harvard College, to fluency in Swahili, to expert web design, web hosting, and custom application and database development.

Along with driving several major redesign projects for two major corporate media websites, Yahoo! Video and Current.com, he has myriad clients in his private consulting practice.
 
Melissa Mansfield: Media
melissa.jpgIn varied environments—as a reporter for a local paper, a lobbyist for progressive causes, or a dance coordinator for a Mayan arts project in Guatemala—Melissa has used her communication skills to advocate for social change.

Now, as the host of Equator HD's "Keep It Green" (Wed 8pm/EST) and the video director for Green Festivals, she draws on her varied background to produce conscious media that engages, informs and inspires viewers.
She helps Earthsite clients to plan their media projects and strategies, and also provides hosting, interviewing, scripting and voiceover services.
 
Averan Gale: Media
Averan has been working as the Video Director for Earthsite's client GreenFestival for two years. He has prodcued hundreds of full-length videos of main stage speakers, exclusive interviews with festival partners and speakers, B-roll and promotional videos. Averan is a practical artist, creating beauty through intelligent systems engineering. A jack-of-all-trades, he strives to serve by facilitating communication, researching and implementing new applications, and keeping up to date with the latest video technology.

 
Anne Buffington: Green Festival Account Manager
 Anne's background in event production led her to Earthsite where she has been working as the account manager for Green Festivals for two years. Anne holds an MBA in Sustainable Enterprise from the Green MBA program now at Dominican University of CA.

She has a background in Spanish literature and enjoys traveling, bicycling and dance.
 
Michele Ferri: Client Support
michele.jpgMichele attends the College of Marin where he is majoring in geology and Japanese. He is currently working as the client support technician at Earthsite.

While supporting clients, he is also enjoying being trained in Earthsite's development platform and server administration.

He practices Aikido and Kyudo and has an interest in Japanese culture and mythology.
