Dominican University of California's Green MBA is an engaged learning community that seeks to promote financial viability, ecological sustainability, and social justice in business and organizations of all types. Students graduate with practical skills and experience, prepared to innovate, communicate, and lead effectively in the face of global challenges.

Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Dominican's Green MBA is an on-site program whose graduates receive a Master of Business Administration degree in Sustainable Enterprise. Students have a choice of two-year full-time and three-year part-time structures to accommodate life/work balance while pursuing the degree.

Earthsite is located in beautiful Marin County, just north of San Francisco, CA where we are fortunate to be amongst an abundance of entrepreneurs, designers, and inventors.  Recently, The Venture Greehouse, an initiative of Dominican University of California, opened its doors in San Rafael, CA. 

The Venture Greenhouse is a business accelerator and incubator for social & environmental entrepreneurs.  Earthsite worked with The Venture Greenhouse to build a new website in the beginning of 2012.  

On Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 4-7 pm The Venture Greenhouse will be hosting the first ever Marinnovation,  A Celebration of Entrepreneurs, Designers, & Inventors in Marin, CA.  

Marinnovation will highlight Marin's vibrant, creative culture and showcase the technologies, designs and ventures that are developing throughout the county. Marinnovation marks Marin's emergence from the shadow of Silicon Valley to shine as a catalyst for new ideas, cutting edge technologies and sustainable economic development.

Ever heard of Non-GMO Verified Cheese? Probably not because there is only one cheese company in the entire world that sells Non-GMO Verified cheese. That is the Rumiano Cheese Company located in Northern CA. This fourth generation, family-owned cheese company has been producing natural cheese since 1921. Recently they decided to take the extra step and go through the in-depth process of becoming Non-GMO Verified by the Non-GMO Project.

Earthsite launched the Rumiano Cheese Company's new website last fall and we continue to work with them on social media strategy.

.green is the new Top-Level Domain for all things green online. DotGreen Community, Inc. is preparing infrastructure, policies, and the 2013 launch of new .green domain names. New .green websites will share stories of sustainability, providing a trusted online space for a presence amongst a green audience. Internet users and global citizens will recognize and can browse a common online location to easily access information on green practices, solutions, products, programs, initiatives, organizations and more provided by registrants.

Public benefit is integrated into the .green operating model. Sales of .green domain names will generate philanthropy and create a new income stream for the DotGreen Foundation. The DotGreen Foundation is a For Public Benefit Charity which supports programs and projects of sustainability in all regions of the world adding additional value and service value to Internet users and registrants who connect on the Green Internet. On March 20, 2012 we had the great pleasure of celebrating with Dharma Merchant Services as they commemorated their 5th year anniversay at The HUB in San Francisco.  Earthsite's team worked diligently leading up to the event, along with the founders of Dharma Merchant Services Alexia and Jeff Marcous, to launch a new website for the company.  The goal of the new website was to maintain the branding of the original site while bringing the technology up to date with an easy to maintain content management system, directory and client support pages.  

Dharma (pronounced DAR-ma) is a Sanskrit word meaning "right action", "right intention" and "right livelihood".  The father, daughter team started Dharma five years ago with the intention of bringing more compassion into the financial industry.  Today they have over 2000 clients and are growing each year with additional staff and a world class office in downtown San Francisco.

The Venture Greenhouse of Dominican University of California is a pioneering, early-stage business incubator providing an intensive acceleration process for growing companies that have the potential for significant environmental and social benefits. Located in San Rafael, California, the 5,000 sq. ft. "innovation engine" houses up to 12 companies at a time, with the goal of graduating companies within one year.
